1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of the Instagroan app (the “App”), provided by Inginity Studio (“Inginity”, “we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. The terms of the store you downloaded the App from also apply — Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement or the Google Play Terms of Service.
2. What Instagroan does
Instagroan generates puns, jokes, captions and rewritten copy using artificial intelligence, shaped by the topics, text and style settings you provide. Results are produced automatically. They may be inaccurate, repetitive, unoriginal or not to your taste, and although we filter output, some results may be inappropriate. Review results before you share or publish them; you are responsible for how you use them.
3. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to use online services. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian.
4. Accounts
You can use the App as a guest, or create an account to keep your saved content and subscription across devices. Keep your password secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Privacy, or as described on our account deletion page.
5. Subscriptions
- Groan+ and Groan Pro are auto-renewing subscriptions billed through your Apple or Google account at the price shown in the App before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting your Instagroan account does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- Paid plans remove the free plan's daily limit but are subject to fair-use limits that stop automated or abusive use. Normal use will not reach them.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the App to create or share content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes anyone's rights. Do not attempt to bypass usage limits or security measures, access our services other than through the App, scrape or reverse engineer the App, or interfere with its operation. We may limit or suspend access for violations.
7. Your content and generated results
You keep your rights in the text and images you provide and save. You give us permission to process that content only as needed to operate the App. Subject to these terms, you may use the results the App generates for personal, non-commercial purposes on any plan — sharing a meme, a message or a post is personal use. A Groan Pro subscription includes a licence to use results commercially (advertising, publications, products, client work). Similar results may be generated for other users, and we do not guarantee that results are unique or free of third-party rights.
8. Our app and third-party content
The App, its design and the Instagroan name belong to Inginity. Some curated puns come from the OPun collection (github.com/dabbers/OPun), licensed under CC BY 4.0.
9. Disclaimers
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet your expectations.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Inginity is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that cannot be waived.
11. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; we will post changes here with a new effective date and tell you in the App about material changes. You can stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms.
